Our Response to Hurricane Helene
The day after Hurricane Helene unleashed destruction upon Western North Carolina (WNC), local Realtor Stephanie Johnson heard a calling to feed and help her people. In a matter of days, what began as a single popup tent in the Roses Parking Lot in Burnsville, NC emerged a massive volunteer distribution operation serving thousands of drive-thru vehicles and meeting the heating, power, water and cleanup needs of countless WNC families…
Helping Folks in Need
Rebuilding Hollers works with hundreds of local and national donors to get help directly to the families of Yancey & Mitchell Counties through on-site pickups at our distribution facility in Burnsville, NC, off-site deliveries to families and area partner relief efforts, and connecting volunteers/rebuild efforts with those most in need.

The passion of so many volunteers fuels this relief effort. We need daily help receiving donations, managing and distributing supplies, on-location cleanup, construction and eventual rebuild

So far, we’ve helped WNC families secure electricity, water, heat, fuel, chainsaws, batteries, sleeping bags, tents, building materials, food and more!!!! We LOVE ALL OF YOU!
